The j-junction matching philosophy

We are often asked by our members how we come up with our matches between members . To answer this we thought  we would give you some insight into the philosophy behind our matching strategy.

Many of our members have been allocated a matchmaker who has spent time getting to know them and what it is they are looking for in a partner. The matchmaker then uses this information to undertake a search on our database to find potential matches which meet most, or all, of the criteria of an individual member.

Matchmakers spend time assessing a range of crieteria to determine if a match may be appropriate. This may include: interests and hobies, level of observance, smoking, children, if someone is a Cohen, height, age, body shape, career path, and ideal charachteristics of a partner.

When a potential match is found, the matchmakers concerned then discuss this match between themsleves and together determine if it should be proposed to the members.

Members have asked us why we don't match them as regularly as they would like. We believe that people would rather be matched with someone where there is a high degree of compatibility,  where you have things in common and are on the same page. We could match people randomly without much thought or consideration, and this would mean more regular matching, but it will also lead to dating fatigue, where you have met so many inappropriate people that you just don't want to continue.

Like a recruitment company we only like to put forward to you, candidates that are appropriate and compatible, so we don't waste your time or that of other members.

In saying that, humans are complex beings, and what may look good on paper may not translate well in reality. We can't account for attraction and chemistry between members, but we can assure you that the matches we propose to you are considered and thought out.

You can always contact us if you have any comments, questions or suggestions.
